Defensive Coordinator/Inside Linebackers/Teacher Walnut Grove High School. Originally from Rifle, Colorado, Coach Lenard played football at the University of Redlands in Southern California. After graduating, he moved back to Colorado, where he began coaching while working in the oil field. In 2016, Coach Lenard moved to Texas and began his career in education as a social studies teacher and coach, including stops at Carrollton R.L. Turner High School, Alvarado High School, and Prosper High School. During his time as the cornerback coach at Prosper High School, the Eagles played in the quarterfinals in 2019, 2020, and 2021. In 2022, the Eagles made it all the way to the state semifinal game, winning 13 playoff games in 4 years. In 2023, Coach Lenard accepted the role of Defensive Coordinator at Walnut Grove, in their inaugural season. In 2024 and 2025, the Wildcats won back to back District, Bi-District, and Area Championships. Coach Lenard and his wife Morgan have two daughters, and are expecting a son in July 2026. He and his family feel blessed to be a part of The Standard at The Grove.
