About me
Racy Kane serves as Director of Academic Competition for Prosper ISD where she supports Speech and Debate throughout the district, Spelling Bee, Mock Trial, Robotics, and UIL Academics at the district's 30 campuses.
Prior to moving to the district office, Racy was the Associate Principal at Prosper HS where she served in campus administration for 6 years. She runs multiple UIL District contests in the North Texas area and is the UIL Regional Director for Region 2-5A and 1-6A. For the past 13 years, she has served as the UIL State Judge Coordinator at both the UIL CX State Meet and the UIL Academic Speech and Debate State Meet. She also worked for Prosper ISD as Communications Coordinator for 3 years when the Department won multiple NSPRA and TSPRA Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stars for their work.
Prior to beginning her administrative career, Mrs. Kane was a 16-year Speech and Debate coach and Asst. Theater Director in Hallsville where she coached multiple UIL state champions and was instrumental to bringing TFA to the East Texas area. She is a two-diamond coach in NSDA and has served the National Federation as a debate topic author and Chair of the Wording Committee for the National Policy Debate Topic Selection process. She has also received the NFHS Educator Award and the NSDA District Administrator of the Year Award.
