About me
Hello! My name is Jessi Burris and I am an English inclusion and resource teacher at Prosper High School. I will be starting my 17th year in education as a case manager and inclusion/resource teacher, and my 8th year at Prosper High School.
While I have primarily taught English in the resource/inclusion setting, I have also taught math, science, and social studies, as well as social skills and reading courses for students with dyslexia. My experience includes Kingston High School in Oklahoma, Sherman High School and Lewisville High School (main campus.)
Over the years, I have successfully made connections with students and parents on my case load, and this has enabled me to push students to be the very best academic version of themselves. I also promote self-advocacy and independence in my students to better prepare them for post-secondary life.
