With 18 years of experience, I am a dedicated and versatile educator with a passion for instructional leadership, curriculum development, and student-centered learning. I hold a Bachelors of Art in Music Education and a Master of Education focusing on Teacher Leadership, which have equipped me with both strong instructional expertise and a collaborative leadership mindset.
Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of grade levels and content areas, including 6–12 Band, Elementary Music, and K–5 general education across all grade levels. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of vertical alignment, differentiated instruction, and the academic and developmental needs of learners at every stage.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have served in multiple district-level leadership roles. In Prosper ISD, I was selected to serve on the phonics curriculum writing team, collaborating to design and refine instructional resources that support foundational literacy development. I also contributed as a member of Agents of EdTech, partnering with colleagues to explore and implement innovative technology practices that enhance instruction and student engagement.
In a previous district, I served on a district report card and summative writing team, where I collaborated to develop clear, standards-aligned reporting practices that effectively communicated student progress and achievement to families and stakeholders.
My professional strengths include curriculum design, instructional coaching, collaborative leadership, educational technology integration, and fostering meaningful learning experiences for both students and educators. I am committed to continuous growth and to creating systems and structures that empower teachers while maximizing student success.
