About me
Dr. Andrea Pickens has served in various education and instructional leadership roles such as educator, math and science instructional coach, and director of professional learning since accepting the call to education over a decade ago. She currently serves as the 7th grade science team lead and teacher at Rushing Middle School in Prosper ISD. She is an advocate for equitable learning experiences and outcomes for all learners. She is experienced in cultivating educational spaces where all students’ cultural and linguistic capital are incorporated into their learning. She has a zeal for disrupting systemic barriers that prevent students from reaching their highest potential.
