In this practical, interactive session, participants will explore a three-layer framework for strengthening academic language at the word, sentence, and discourse levels. Educators will leave with ready-to-use strategies, sentence stems, and paragraph frames that immediately elevate student thinking across upper elementary content areas.
Teachers of all subjects can explore how to level up student discourse, a reading comprehension strategy, to promote higher-level thinking daily. They'll walk away with small moves and practical steps that can empower students to take the lead of their own learning.
