This collaborative session is designed for teachers who use Autodesk Revit and want practical support before the school year begins. Participants will explore foundational Revit tools, classroom-ready instructional strategies, and solutions to common challenges teachers face when implementing Revit in Architecture & Construction courses.
Whether you are brand new to Revit or looking to strengthen your instructional practice, this session will provide hands-on guidance, troubleshooting support, and opportunities to collaborate with other educators. Attendees will leave with greater confidence, practical classroom ideas, and resources they can immediately apply to support student success throughout the school year. #BeginnerFriendly #BringYourQuestions
I am a CTE Coordinator supporting Architecture & Construction, Law & Public Service, JROTC, and Transportation pathways. Previously, I taught Architectural Design and Aerospace Engineering at Prosper High School.
Think CCMR is just a data point on a spreadsheet? Think again. This session reframes the High School "Architect" and Post-Secondary "Pilot" phases, shifting them from a quest for a diploma to a strategic engine for professional autonomy. We will explore how to transition students from Informed Designers to Skilled Operators who graduate with a "License to Thrive." By focusing on the "Triple Crown" of readiness—College, Career, and Miltary—we empower students to build the bridge to their own future. Participants will exit with a roadmap to support students as they navigate Prosper ISD’s specialized programs and endorsement pathways, ensuring every graduate does more than just 'launch'—they arrive at their destination ready to lead.
Industry-based certifications are powerful tools for student success and it is important for educators to feel confident navigating the platforms behind them. In this hands-on professional learning session, participants will take a guided deep dive into Certiport and GMetrix, two of the leading platforms for industry certification testing. From account creation to classroom setup, test assignment, and score reporting, we'll walk through every step of the process together. Whether you're brand new to certification testing or looking to streamline your current workflow, this session will leave you equipped and ready to launch a certification program in your classroom with confidence.
